My First Blog!!

I am new to the blogging world but am very excited to offer my first post at "I'm Just Sayin..." On this blog you'll find writings from my life whether church, family or faith related.
As for my faith...I have been a Christian my entire life even though some of my years I spent comsumed with rage and anger at the loss of my Grandfather. My faith is an ever growing, ever changing part of my life as the years fly by and my circumstances change. I consider faith a "work in progress" because we are always changing with all that life throws at us. Even though we are changing God remains the same yeasterday, today and tomorrow.
As for my life...I've watched over the past 15 years as my family has grown and we have moved from place to place that they are behind me 100% of the time no matter where I have asked them to go and what I have asked them to do. They are understanding, loving and caring for me and are all beautiful, bright people who love God and love family. I have come to learn, though, that communication is the most vital part of any relationship. How we communicate and interact as husband and wife is carefully scrutinized by our children and others around us whom we call friends and family. I am truly blessed to have a spouse who finds in me all that she needs and desires and in who I find all that I need and desire. I am blessed to have smart, funny, beautiful children who love me with all of my faults and short-comings. It is this family of which I will blog about as we learn to live and grow together daily.
As for my church...  St. Luke's UMC in Midland, Texas has been a wonderful blessing to me and my family as they have truly been the hands and feet of Christ for us! They have shown us the care and compassion that comes from a deep, abiding relationship with Jesus Christ. And the staff...what can I say about a group of people who have been placed together to be in ministry to the community in which they live to effect change and express the love pf God in Christ Jesus through Childern's Ministries, through worship, through Sr. Adult ministries and by taking care of the rest of us each and every day. And our fearless leader...she is an amazing woman of God who has the leadership skills that would rival the greatest of leaders and the compassion that is that of a saint! Kathryn has the amazing gift and ability to make you think you are the best thing to happen since sliced bread while encouraging us to do better and be better when it comes to our personal lives and our ministries!
So, this first blog ever has led me to wirte about ME!! My faith, my life, my churcha dn from here on a littlew of it all will make it on this blog cuz...I'm just sayin..."
